Half-Day Cusco City Tour – Starts at 1:00 PM
We’ll pick you up from your hotel to explore the most iconic sites in and around Cusco:
🏛️ Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) – Once the most sacred temple of the Incas, later transformed by the Spanish into a colonial church
⛪ Cusco Cathedral – A masterpiece of colonial religious art located in the heart of the Plaza de Armas
🏞️ Sacsayhuamán – A stunning fortress with massive stone walls, some weighing over 120 tons
🌀 Q’enqo – A ceremonial site carved into rock, dedicated to Pachamama (Mother Earth)
🧱 Puca Pucara – A reddish-colored ruin believed to have served as a military checkpoint and resting place
💧 Tambomachay – Known as the Temple of Water, believed to have been a site of water worship and ritual purification
After the tour, return to your hotel in Cusco to rest or continue enjoying the city at your own pace.
After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 AM to begin a full-day journey through the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Our first stop is the traditional market in Pisac, known for its vibrant colors, artisan crafts, and lively atmosphere. You’ll have the chance to interact with local artisans, shop for handmade souvenirs, and test your bartering skills—all while immersing yourself in Andean culture. Pisac sits at the entrance of the Sacred Valley, located just 31 km (19 mi) from Cusco at an altitude of 2,970 m (9,700 ft).
Next, we head to Urubamba, a quiet valley town surrounded by towering mountains. Here, we’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the Inkas House Restaurant, featuring local Peruvian specialties.
In the afternoon, we visit Ollantaytambo, one of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in the Americas. Walk its ancient Inca-built streets, explore its massive stone terraces and fortress, and feel transported back in time.
Our final stop is the charming town of Chinchero, believed by locals to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. Its colorful Sunday market is more authentic and less touristy than Pisac’s, offering a more intimate look at highland life and traditional textile-making.
We’ll return to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas at approximately 6:30 PM, ending a full day of culture, history, and unforgettable scenery in the Sacred Valley.
We will pick you up at 8:00 AM (time to be confirmed) and transfer you to the train station. Your scenic train departs at 11:30 AM (departure times may vary depending on availability and schedule changes).
Enjoy a 3.5-hour journey through breathtaking landscapes, including views of the Sacred Valley, lush mountains, and the edge of the Amazon rainforest. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes—also known as the Hot Springs Town—you’ll check into your accommodation for the night.
There’s plenty of free time to relax and unwind. Consider taking a soothing dip in the natural thermal baths (entrance approximately 10 soles per person), perfect for easing your muscles after the day’s travel.
Things to do in Aguas Calientes:
Visit the Manuel Chávez Ballón Museum, which features an informative exhibition on Machu Picchu and local orchids. The museum is open from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and is located about a 35-minute walk from Aguas Calientes toward Puente Ruinas.
Enjoy a peaceful soak in the thermal baths, a rejuvenating experience amid the Andean scenery.
Start your day early with breakfast at your hotel before your guide picks you up at 5:40 AM. You’ll take a scenic bus ride up to the breathtaking Machu Picchu to experience the unforgettable sunrise over the ancient citadel.
Enjoy a 2-hour guided walking tour through Machu Picchu’s fascinating ruins, where your expert guide will share stories of Inca history and culture. After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore the mystical city at your own pace—capture photos, visit viewpoints, or simply soak in the atmosphere.
When you’re ready, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for a delicious lunch. Later, board the train returning to Ollantaytambo, where our team will meet you and provide private transportation back to your hotel in Cusco, completing a magical day in the heart of the Andes.
