This exclusive program is designed especially for you — and only offered by Head Peru Expeditions. No other agency provides this unique tour circuit. Our goal is for you to experience all of Cusco’s most iconic and hidden attractions, without missing a thing.
While most agencies stick to the traditional routes to accommodate larger groups or limited schedules, we offer something traditional yet different. We believe your journey through Peru should be personal, meaningful, and unforgettable — and that’s exactly what we deliver.
Discover Cusco your way — with a local company that does it differently.
Pickup from your hotel at 7:00 AM, followed by a private transfer to the Sacred Valley, heading directly to Pisac. Our first stop is the majestic Sacsayhuaman Temple of the Sun, a masterpiece of Inca architecture featuring massive megalithic stones, some weighing over 120 tons. From this impressive site, you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire city of Cusco. The complex also includes ancient connecting tunnels and an astronomical observatory.
Next, we continue to Ccochawasi Animal Sanctuary, home to native Andean wildlife such as condors, llamas, alpacas, and pumas. Afterward, we drive 20 minutes to the Taray viewpoint, offering stunning views of the Urubamba River weaving through terraced mountainsides that resemble a giant checkerboard.
Our journey proceeds to the archaeological site of Pisac, renowned for its extensive Inca agricultural terraces and a cemetery containing over 3,000 ancient tombs. Explore the Inca tunnel system and the sacred religious sector of this significant site. You will have approximately two hours to immerse yourself in the history and beauty of Pisac’s Inca city.
Finally, we visit the vibrant Pisac Market, where you can browse and purchase exquisite silver jewelry, textiles, and traditional crafts, perfect souvenirs to remember your journey through the Sacred Valley.
Lunch is served in the town of Urubamba, the capital of the Sacred Valley, which is the best and most suitable place to dine during the tour. Urubamba offers a variety of tourist-friendly restaurants, with buffet-style service being the preferred option. This allows you to choose from a wide selection of Andean dishes, including fresh vegetables, hearty soups, and delicious desserts.
Based on experience, we recommend the buffet over a la carte options, as some à la carte restaurants tend to be slower and may not meet cleanliness standards. After enjoying a satisfying lunch, you will have a 25-minute break upon arrival at Ollantaytambo before beginning your next walk and exploration.
Ollantaytambo is an ancient Inca city carefully divided into urban and religious sectors. During Inca times, it served as a tambo (resting place) for travelers and messengers. This archaeological site is remarkable for its impressive construction techniques and grand scale.
Your guide from Head Expeditions Peru will take you to explore key highlights such as the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of Ten Niches, various sacred water fountains, and the Water Temple. After spending about an hour and a half discovering Ollantaytambo, you will continue your journey with a one-hour drive up to Chinchero.
